Right on!!

George W.'s latest announcement will undoubtedly make some people very upset-

President Bush said society should "respect each individual," but he said he would not compromise on his position that the only legitimate marriages were those between men and women. (Associated Press, July 31, 2003)

He was, of course, referring to a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. While he has not taken a formal position on this, he has stood by his priniciples and religion.

Isn't that a nice change... a president that actually has principles and morals... a president that actually follows the laws of the religion he claims to respect... Of course, any person who is in a leadership position as high as presidency should follow these same codes, but as we all know, a person like that was hard to find between 1993 and 2001... ;)

On a personal level, I have no problem with homosexuals. I don't agree with that kind of lifestyle, but I try to respect everybody for who they are and what they believe. But on the issue of gay marriage- I tend to agree that it should be reserved for male/female unions.

But even if I didn't feel this way, I have to say that I would hold Bush in high respect, because he has always stood by what he believes. With the election fast approaching, many candidates are saying what they think people want to hear. Many democrats especially are using these tactics in order to gain some votes from the right... but we'll have more on that issue later. Bush, on the other hand, fully realizes that speaking out against an issue such as this could cause some unfavorable reactions from the left- yet he chose to stand by his beliefs.

In only there were more people (leaders especially) who acted on these same principles...

Grieving families?

Well I've been thinking a lot lately about some things (and that's not something I do very often, lol). But a big issue that has been on my mind lately is the death of Uday and Qusay Hussien. While I think these 2 people were the scum of the earth and they deserve whatever comes to them in their after-life, I can't help but think about their families. And I don't mean their father, but the people who had no real connection to the government and may have been totally different from these boys. Are they actually sad about the deaths?

And what about releasing the pictures of them dead? Is this right? I see no problem with it, and I think it is important to be able to prove to the terrified Iraqis that they are really gone. I'll make that clear right now. But how do their families feel about it?

If there is anyone out there actually reading this, I would appreciate your views. You can e-mail me your thoughts on this or any other subject at right_winged at yahoo.com. (I have it written this way in order to prevent spam.) This isn't my regular address, but I'm gonna try to keep this one strictly for mail from my viewers (if there are any, lol). I'll try to check it regularly, and if a reply is requested I'll do my best to reply within a reasonable amount of time. Please keep in mind that anything you send to me becomes property of me and Right Winged, and it may be published for all the world to see :) That's it for today- I better get some sleep.

Axis of Weasels

After that last post, I wanted to share some of my views on countries such as Germany and France which make up the "Axis of Weasels".

Now what was that thing we did in 1944 for France? Oh yeah, I remember now- we liberated them from the oppressive powers of Germany at a little beach called Normandy. In recenct years, at the Normandy memorial, a France flag and an American flag has flown there every day, along with another country's flag that I can't really remember right now. But in the last few weeks, the number of flags has reduced to 2- that's right, they took down the American flag, even though if not for the American army they might still be speaking German.

Apparently France has forgotten this. They can't understand why we would be upset with them- I guess they find it perfectly acceptable to turn your back on your ally when they need you most, even though countless times they've helped you out.

(Kind of like some friends I know... but that's a different story, lol :)

If and when their country ever becomes a victim of a terrorist attack or is threatened with biological and chemical weapons, Germany and France may decide they shouldn't have been kissing Saddam's ass all that time... and when they come to us for help, are we going to do anything about it? Probably, but it would be kind of fun to teach them a lesson :D

Blame America!!

I realize I haven't posted in awhile, but as the summer wraps up and school gets closer, I have spent many hours alone in my room dreading trigonometry. No, just kidding, but I have been really busy these last few days.

But now that I'm back, I wanted to share this-

"Almost one in three Germans below the age of 30 believes the U.S. government may have sponsored the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington, according to a poll published on Wednesday.

And about 20 percent of Germans in all age groups hold this view, a survey of 1,000 people conducted for the weekly Die Zeit said."

A lot of German kids also believe we never went to the moon. What a great educational system they must have. Keep in mind that mosts of these schools still try to cover up not-so-pleasant aspects of their own history such as the Holocaust and the causes of World War 2.

Left-wing nuts

If you're ever in need of a good laugh, visit the Democratic Underground at www.democraticunderground.com These people are so far to the left, I swear they're about to fall off. While I admit to be very much right-winged, I do at least try to see other people's points of view.

Here's the latest from the Democratic Underground-

Doesn't a part of you wish that Queasy and Duh-day were alive?

I'll admit they're scum and rightfully so, but anything that lands as even more humiliation on W's grotesque shrivelled face is that much the better.

It's sad, really, that as despicable as they are, Saddam's family seems to be the lesser of two evils when you compare them to the wretched little bastard* occupying the White House and destroying America in the process...

It's amazing how any AMERICAN could possibly think this-- but then again this person said basically that anything that makes Bush look good is horrible.

How anyone could possibly compare George W. Bush and his administration to Saddam Hussein and his reign of terror is beyond me...

I just read the best news I've heard in months--

Straight from a Centcom press release, here's the latest from Iraq....

"On Tuesday, July 22, forces associated with the 101st Airborne Division and Special Operations Forces conducted an operation against suspected regime figures at a residence in Mosul, Iraq. The site is currently being exploited. Four Iraqis were killed in the operation. We have confirmed that two of the dead were Saddam’s sons Uday and Qusay."

While it might also have been enjoyable to watch them walk the streets in custody of American Marines while angry Iraqis threw garbage at them, I am just fine knowing that they are no longer a threat. :D

According to this funny quiz at Quizilla, I am without a doubt a republican- that's good to know :) If you would like to take this quiz, click on the link below.
